How to update D2006 release

What must be done to update the installation for d2006 without deinstallation?

Everytime when i try to install by doubleclicking the msi-file i've got the message, that i at first, had to deinstall the current relase.

There is no problem with D7, onyl with D2006.

We have such restrictions because of .NET part.
