What is the best way to go back a version for Schema Compare for SQL Server?
What is the best way to go back a version for Schema Compare for SQL Server?
I currently have Schema Compare for SQL Server installed at versions 4.1.32 but have recently discovered a bug that is preventing crucial processing. I need to roll back to 4.0.32, as I've confirmed the issue does not exist with this version. What is the quickest and cleanest way to do this?

Thanks Alexa. I submitted the bug prior to posting on the forums yesterday and have since emailed a couple of sets of app logs, recreating the error. I have the previous version downloaded already. I was looking more for process - is it recommended to completely uninstall first or can I just run the executable and the installer will know what to do?

You have to manually uninstall the newer version prior to installing the older one. Also, we recommend you to leave all the options on the 'Uninstall Options' page of the Uninstall wizard unselected.
