Bug/Issue: Execute results NOT reflecting changes made in design layout

Post by robains » Tue 27 Oct 2015 21:26

Version 5.0.337
Query Builder
Issue: Any changes made in the Design/Layout windows and/or in the "selection | joins | where | group by | having | Order By" area are NOT reflected in the Data results window.

Steps to replicate:
1. New Query Builder window
2. setup a simple two table query with join
3. select some columns in both tables
4. goto the "selection | joins | ... " area and enter filter values on two fields
5. now hit Execute
6. you should see results (data view)
7. do NOT touch the text/data view area, but go back up to the designer and add a couple of fields
8. in the "selection | joins | ..." area move the couple of added fields up in order
9. now hit Execute

Problem: The text/data results will NOT reflect the changes made.

Work around: in the Results window click on "Text" ... this will accurately show the correct query, now hit Execute ... results window will now reflect correct changes.

I tried to open a ticket in your "Support system" but it seems to require a different User/Password than my License info and this forum info ... no idea why you two completely different accounts for your support system vs. your forum/license system?

Cheers, Rob.

Unfortunately, we were not able to reproduce this issue.

Will it be possible to record a video and provide it to us?

Please also specify what edition of dbForge Studio for SQL Server you are using.

You can send a reply (further issues as well) straight to our support system at supportATdevartDOTcom
