Re: [ANDROID] interbase Connection Problem
Hello,
Firebird does not support Android, it supports Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. You can find this information at http://www.firebirdsql.org/en/firebird-2-5-2-upd1/ . We will add support for Firebird under Android as soon as Firebird supports Android.

Re: [ANDROID] interbase Connection Problem
So. The official information that it does support it is a lie ?

Re: [ANDROID] interbase Connection Problem
In my previous post, I gave a link to the official Firebird website where are listed all supported platforms by the latest Firebird release version. As you can see there, Firebird now officially supports Windows, Linux and Mac OS.

So. It is official lie?
UniDAC/IBDAC actually does NOT support actually Firebird on Android platform.
Here, from the official page of UniDAC :
on Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Linux, and FreeBSD for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. We have combined the experience of long-term successful development into one product, which provides unified access to multiple database servers like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, InterBase, Firebird, PostgreSQL, SQLite, DB2, Microsoft Access, Sybase Advantage Database Server, Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, and other databases (using ODBC provider).

Here, from the official page of IBDAC :
InterBase (and FireBird) Data Access Components (IBDAC) is a library of components that provides native connectivity to InterBase, Firebird and Yaffil from Delphi, C++Builder, Lazarus (and Free Pascal) on Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Linux, and FreeBSD for both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.

The ultra cool image where these DAC's is actually crossplatforms, turns to be a lie, a cheating.
I am very dissappointed. Very.

You can find information about IBDAC compatibility at http://www.devart.com/ibdac/compatibility.html
There is the "Supported Target Platforms" section that describes supported platforms on different IDE versions. Here is a quote from this section:
