bds.exe error after installing UniDAC

Post by shepherdtech » Thu 30 Aug 2012 11:53

hi,

My name is Allan. Im having a problem with my UniDAC.

I installed Delphi XE2 in my laptop. After a successful installation. I install my UniDAC then I try to run Delphi XE2 but im getting this error msg saying "bds.exe - unable to locate component. The application has failed to start because fmx163.bpl was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

then another msg box will appear saying, "Could not find wizard, D:\Program Files\Devart\UniDAC for RAD Studio XE2\Bin\Win32\unimigwizard160.dll"

Please help! My RAD Studio XE2 and UniDAC 4.3 are all license.
What should i do to fix this error?

Allan

Hello,

If you are using RadStudio XE2 without updates or with Update 1, you should use UniDAC 4.0.1 or 4.0.2,
if you have RadStudio XE2 Update 2 or 3, you should use UniDAC versions 4.1.3 or 4.1.4,
if you have RadStudio XE2 Update 4, you should use UniDAC versions 4.1.5 or 4.1.6,
the latest RadStudio XE2 Update 4 HotFix 1 is supported of UniDAC since the version 4.2.7

Hi Alex,

Im using Delphi XE2 Update 4 and UniDAC 4.3.8
The funny thing was, if i uninstalled the UniDAC and run Delphi XE2. No bds.exe error will appear. I think the problem is with UniDAC!

Pls Help!

thnx...

hello,

If you use Delphi XE2 Update 4 without HotFix 1, you can use only the following versions of UniDAC: 4.1.5 or 4.1.6,
For using later versions of UniDAC 4.3.8, you need to install HotFix 1 for Delphi
