unexpected error

Post by dstein09 » Mon 24 Jan 2011 19:45

hello,

i am trying to use the data comparison tool. i did a test run where i connected to a source db that is hosted remotely and the target was a dev site on my local machine. all worked perfectly.
now i am trying to do the same thing but the target db will also be an online remotely hosted db.
i can connect to both the source db and the target db with no problem. when i get to the mapping step, the program gets about half way through before i get an error that the program has encountered an unexpected error. i did click to send the error message on devart.
i tried playing around with the connection timeout settings, but i still get the same error.
i also tried skipping the mapping step and going straight to compare, but i get the same error.
any suggestions would be great!

We recieved your error report in our support system. The problem is with an unknown data type in one of your table's columns, and it needs clarification. The further conversation will be via email.
