dbExpress with Oracle RAC

Post by tech_center » Mon 17 Mar 2008 17:46

Does your dbExpress driver support the features and architecture of Oracle RAC? If not, which driver in your product list would you recommend for connecting to an ORACLE RAC clustered database? Right now, we rely on TNSNAMES.ORA to provide the addresses of each node in the cluster. Is there a way to provide an address list to your driver?

Core Lab dbExpress driver for Oracle supports RAC. But only when connecting using Oracle client. Direct mode connection (without Oracle client) does not support RAC.

You cannot provide an address list to the driver. You should use TNSNAMES.ORA file.
