I'm trying to set up a connection in the Data Explorer for Rad Studio 2010, on a Windows 7 machine (64 bit).
I can use the devart drivers (Oracle & Sql Server) during run time without a problem, but can't get it working during design time in the IDE.
I configured a connection in Data Explorer, everything should be ok. But when I "Test Connection" I got the following error:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Devart.DbxOda.DriverLoader, Version=1.0.0.5001, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
After some research and thinking about it, I figured it couldn't find the Devart.DbxOda.DriverLoader.dll so I copied that into the C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folder.
That resolved the first error, but now I get a new one:
Borland.Data.EClassRegistryError: Devart.DbxOda.DriverLoader.TCRDynalinkDriverLoader class cannot be found in Devart.DbxOda.DriverLoader,Version=1.0.0.5001,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701
So clearly something isn't configured correctly, maybe a problem with the install? Any suggestions on how to get the driver working correctly?
Thanks,
Rich Werning
