Problem installing 5.00.1.6 on Delphi Studio 2006

Hi,

I use Delphi Studio 2006 on Vista. After uninstalling 5.0.0.5 i cannot install 5.00.1.6. I get an error which says that there are already installed some some DAC packages which are incompatible whith the new version.

I deleted the existing mydac*.bpl files but it still does not work.

Can someone please tell me how to manually cleanup the DAC packages?

best regards,
Hans

You should delete all "my" bpl and "dac" bpl files located in the bpl folder. You should also delete these files in the BDS 2006 Bin folder. Once done, you will be able to install crlab mydac components.

I have been able to solve the problem. In the System32 directory i removed the dac100.bpl.

I guess this file should be removed by the corlab uninstaller, or is it not a corlab bpl?

Anyway, the installation of the new release was succesfull now.

Hans

I guess that the mydac uninstaller missed this file as it is part of the mydac component. Glad to see that you get it working !
