I think the lock is needed?

In each thread you need create its own set of MyDAC components (TMyConnection, TMyCommand etc).

A necessity of locking determines not depending on multi-threading but depending on the application logic. Usually, multi-threaded application from the point of view using locks doesn't differ from several single-thread applications.

Please pay attention to TCustomMyDataSet.Lock, TCustomMyDataSet.LockTable methods and TCustomMyDataSet.Options.CheckRowVersion property.
