I'm using dbExpress with Delphi XE and MySQL.

1.) How do I determine my version of dbExpress?
2.) How do I know which versions of dbExpress is compatible with which version of MySQL?
3.) I would like to use MySQL 5.6 with dbExpress, where do I download the compatible dbxmys.dll?

Thanks in advance

Our dbExpress Driver for MySQL supports all versions of MySQL server existing for the time being. The information about our driver compatibility can be seen on our website: http://www.devart.com/dbx/mysql/compatibility.html You can download our driver via http://www.devart.com/dbx/mysql/download.html

Thanks for the reply.

In the Delphi XE readme it is stated that dbExpress distributed with this version was tested with MySQL 5.1.x

Would it be safe to use this (older version) of dbExpress with later versions of MySQL or should I rather upgrade the driver?

I'm using dbExpress distributed with Delphi, therefore no trial. The link you provided is for a trial version. What options are there for customers with a Delphi license?

Thanks

Our dbExpress Driver for MySQL is not related to the standard dbExpress Driver for MySQL in any way. You can purchase our driver by visiting http://www.devart.com/dbx/mysql/ordering.html

What do you mean "Our dbExpress Driver for MySQL is not related to the standard dbExpress Driver for MySQL in any way."

Do you say the dbExpress driver distributed with Delphi is not a product of devart?

Yes, you are right. The standard dbExpress driver for MySQL distributed with Delphi is not our product.
