I've just upgraded from 7.11 to 8.x.
I thought Lazarus / FreePascal is also a available package, but I only see Delphi packages.
Is MyDAC8 for Lazarus a different license?

Lazarus and Free Pascal are supported only in Trial Edition and in Professional Edition with source code - you can find more information at: http://www.devart.com/mydac/compatibility.html. But I know from a confidential source that you only need *.ppu / *.o files for putting the components on the IDE.

There are two main reasons why MyDAC does not support Lazarus in editions without sources:
1. Events do not work;
2. Frequent builds of Lazarus and Free Pascal causing incompatibility with precompiled MyDAC units.
That is why MyDAC Professional edition without sources does not support Lazarus.
