MySQL Developer Tools?

Hi,

I'm a new MyDAC user and I installed MyDAC (and dBForge Pro)on my dev
machine (RAD XE). I also installed MySQL server on my dev machine.

When I run RAD XE, I get this prompt:

"You don't have MySQL Developer Tools installed."

"Do you wish to download the latest MySQL Developer Tools version?"

When I download it, it's the same file as dBForge Pro. When I attempt
to install it, it says it's "dBForge fusion for MySQL", which I already have
installed. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Hello,

Maybe there were some problems with writing keys into the registry. Please try uninstalling dbForge Fusion for MySQL and MyDAC, installing them again, and then check if this situation repeats.

It still happens. In fact, it gets me to download the dBForge Fusion
trial. (Which is silly since I have the Professional installed..)

I uninstalled dBForge, and MyDAC and then installed MyDAC and
then dBForge Pro. Still tells me that the MySQL Developer tools
isn't installed.

Please specify the following:
- the exact MyDAC version;
- the exact dbForge Fusion for MySQL version.

Also please try looking for the following keys in the registry:
{DD06A3A9-B493-4a68-AB0E-038B90BBD090}
{DD06A3A9-B493-4a68-AB0E-038B90BBD100}

{DD06A3A9-B493-4a68-AB0E-038B90BBD111}
{DD06A3A9-B493-4a68-AB0E-038B90BBD120}
{DD06A3A9-B493-4a68-AB0E-038B90BBD130}

{DD06A3A9-B493-4a68-AB0E-038B90BBD150}

Can you find any of them?

Hi,

MyDAC version for XE : 6.00.0.3
dBForge for MySQL : 4.50.316

on Windows 7

And I can't find any of the registry items that you posted.

You wrote that you were using dBForge Fusion for MySQL 4.50.316, but the latest available version of dbForge Fusion for MySQL is 4.50.304. It seems that you have installed dbForge Studio for MySQL. These are different tools. MyDAC looks for dbForge Fusion for MySQL on your computer. Please install dbForge Fusion for MySQL and look again for the keys in the registry I gave you in the previous post.
