Remote Connection

Hello...
I want to connect MySQL on the w.w.web.
I tried all alternatives. Retriving error:
Access denied for user '[email protected](Using password:YES)'
What does the options should be?
Direct or not
what must be the Port number. and also others...
Must I install apache or mysql . I think no need.
I am using MySQL Data Access Components version 3.10.1.7
