I was wondering if you CoreLab are planning to create new components to make available the OLAP and Datawarehousing techniques with mysql.

We did not investigate the possibility to develop such kind of components, and it is unlikely that we will turn to this direction in the near future.

Could you describe, what are your expectations of such components?

Well, it could be for example:
1. a cube component that allows the programmer to create a cube with any number of dimention (views or tables), also this component has to provide some tools to refresh the views ( this is for example to sumarize a huge amount of data from the tables and update the cube, this process might run in batch because will take a long time and memory)

also provide a cube storage component ( were you can take a look to all the cubes created)

and a component to view the data of this cube, something like a grid that allows the view of nested tables. and group by any field choosen,

something like dinamic tables in excel
