why use TMyDataSource?

Can find any help in the help and dev art isn't answering so I thought I'd ask anyone out there who is listening...

What, if any, is the advantage to using TMyDataSource as opposed to the standard TDataSource that comes with Delphi?

Yes, it's working excactly the same, only it sees the TMyQuery and TMyTable and nothing else. I kind of filter
