You should choose the latest build of MyDAC regardless of MySQL Server version, because it has a lot of fixes that concern all MySQL Server versions.
MyDAC standard version has the same functionality as MyDAC professional version. But MyDAC Pro includes source code. So, we can send source code patches to users of MyDAC Pro version to fix some critical bugs between MyDAC builds.

Hi Again :-)

Well, I use the standard version and I could use a SAFE build version. Last I opgraded I got mayor problems, becouse you have introduced a Floating point conversion error in build 13. That error wasn't fix in build 14, nor 15.
I don't upgrade each month anyway, I opgraded from build 11. So I would like to know, is there a SAFE version of MyDAC to use with MySQL4.0?
The latest version don't seem to be safe :-(

Best regards

As we mentioned in the topic "ERROR in retreiving small negativ double number!!!!!" this bug is already fixed. The new MyDAC version with this fix included will be available in about two weeks.

Hi :-)

Yes, I read that. But that still doesn't answer my question. When as now, I am affried to use the latest version. I can't survive loosing costumers to errors poping up in already approved code.
I need alternativs to using the latest version. What about MyDAC 3? what about an earlier version of MyDAC 4. I am still using MySQL 4.0, so I am thinking that an earlier version must cover that.

My problem is that I can't afford to upgrade :-( when there is a small change that this will introduce new errors :-(

I am looking for options, please give me some options.

Best regarrds
