Don't use Direct Mode ,connect to sql server on the interent is so quickly!

After use Direct Mode ,connect to sql server on the interent is so slowly!

Just connect ,no query data !

Why?

And after connect successful ,select data is quick !

I hope you can do it better in connect speed !

Thank you for the information. We will investigate the reason for slow Internet connection in Direct Mode for SDAC. We will notify you about the results as soon as any are available.

Direct mode is very slow even on local network.
I'm sure you'll solve this asap.
Do you plan to develop http tunnel option for MSSQLSERVER like you did for mysql ?

We couldn't reproduce the problem. Please try to compose a small test project demonstrating the problem with low performance in a local network. Include the script for creating and filling in the tables, and send it to andreyz*devart*com.

The HTTP Tunnel feature is already added to our roadmap.

Hello,

here it is also very slow, it takes over five seconds to connect to the database, i only set from prAuto to prDirect. Switching back and the connection is fast...

The first thing my app does is to check the table structure and i'm using TUniMetaData for this task. While executing "Open" I get a "Not implemented yet" message form unidac

It seems the Direct Mode is not fully functional?

We have reproduced the issue with slow connection to SQL Server in Direct Mode. We will investigate this behavior and inform you about the results.

Currently, Direct Mode for SQL Server in UniDAC and SDAC is being improved. This functionality implementation is in progress, and it will be available in one of the next versions of UniDAC and SDAC.

Any news on this issue ?
We are now waiting for a solution since december 2014.

I've bought unidac just for use with mobile devices and now this is what is useless for the moment.

We should all ask refund as unidac isn't quite cheap to buy.

The problem with slow connection to the server in Direct Mode is already fixed. The fix will be included into the next SDAC build.

Release of SDAC is planned for the early April. If you want to get these fixes before the release of the next SDAC build, send your email address and license number to andreyz*devart*com - and we will send you a night build.
