Is there a function to return the first column of the first row of the resultset using SDAC like ExecuteScalar method of SQLCommand does?

For the time being SDAC doesn't support such functionality. You can leave your suggestion at our UserVoice page ( http://devart.uservoice.com/forums/1046 ... components ), and if there are many votes for your suggestion, we will implement it.
