I am testing my application on Win 8 desktop mode.

i was expecting it not run as it didn't on Vista (I remember some issues with SDAC 3.92 or something like that) since I read on SDAC History http://www.devart.com/sdac/revision_history.html

that 6.5.9 05-Sep-12 introduced Win8 support

So my question is: what do you mean by "Windows 8 support"?

Windows 8 support means that you can develop SDAC-based applications for Windows 8 in RAD Studio XE3. In SDAC version 6.5.9 we added support of RAD Studio XE3. One of the key features of RAD Studio XE3 is support of Windows 8. For more information about Windows 8 support, please refer to http://www.embarcadero.com/products/rad ... /whats-new
