Can you please tell me will you plan to add support for TVP in VCL?

As for now we have no plans to support TVP for SQL Server 2008.

TVP is very important and powerful feature of 2008 that needs support in SDAC. Not having support for this type forces me to use all sorts of workarounds like XML, and I get penalized on creation and parcing of it.

I have posted this question in the past. the answer I received then was that it will be considered in future versions and that has been when 2008 came out.

Please reconsider your stand on supporting this feature and implement it sooner than later.

We are investigating the possibility of adding this functionality. As soon as we solve this question we will let you know.

It is very encouraging to see that you have developed support for GEOMETRY, GEOGRAPHY, HIERARCHYID field types for SQL Server 2008.

Please consider raising priority to support table types, TPV.

For my company it is serious deficiency that hinders our use and success with SDAC. I have to resort to using XML for passing multi-row information, which is penalizing at both client and database, as it needs to be compiled on client and parsed in SQL.

We are investigating this functionality. We hope that it will be added in the near time.

Unfortunately at present time we have some tasks of higher priority than supporting TVP, so we can not tell you the exact time when we provide such support.

Almost one yeart to date has passed since this request was posted. Any progress on TVP on your side?

Just a reminder that SQL Server 2008 was released and introduced this feature on August 6, 2008, 2 1/2 years ago.

Please inform those, who are eagerly waiting for this important feature, of your plans to support it.

We have already started implementing TVP to SQL Server Data Access Components. We are planning to include this functionality into the next SDAC version.

Support for Table-Valued Parameters was added in the SDAC build version 5.10.0.6. You can find detailed information about it in the "Using Table-Valued Parameters" topic of SDAC help.
