I'm using the trial version of 4.50.0.36 through Delphi 2006 professional.

I was OK with SQL Server 2005 express but have upgraded to SQL Server 2008 developer.

Now, I can't seem to get access to my database with SQL Server authentication although I can with Windows authentication.

Are there any known issues with SDAC and SQL Server 2008 or should I persevere trying to sort this out through the SQL Server security model which I confess is challenging me. I suspect it's the latter but I thought I would ask.

The user I'm trying to connect with was brought across when I attached the old database but the server login is new.

We have not encountered such problems before. Can you connect using Management Studio?

I noticed the same problem trying to login to 2008 R2.

I am using the most current demo UniDacDemo.exe.

Here is a screen shot of my login for MS SQL Server 2008 R2:



So, how do I login with the demo, which tells me "login failed for jrheisler-PC\jrheisler".
