BigCommerce Custom Fields

While I've had no trouble updating BigCommerce Products tables through the Excel Add-in, I've been unable to commit changes to the values of any of BigCommerce's ProductCustomFields tables. Instead any attempt to make changes prompts the error message, "The required field 'name' was not supplied." While custom fields do have a "Name" value, I'm not trying to change that, just the value associated with the name. Furthermore, Excel highlights this error as occurring in the Id field, which is a numerical, auto-generated value.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

I need to edit the billing address in the checkout page to add some custom drop down and text fields, is there a way to do that?

You can enter any details you require in the Devart checkout page.
