I've just been evaluating the plugin and was looking for the ability to provide parameters to the queries, in particular having values provided via cells. I know it's possible via the "Get external Data" SQL support already in Excel 2013, but have had problems with Excel crashing in some cases, and was looking for better and clearer alternatives.

So, does the devart excel plugin have replacement query parameter support, that I'm just not recognizing? And, in particular, can field names and or values be provided by sheet cells?

At the moment there is no such possibility. We will investigate the possibility to implement such feature and post here about the results.
