SPSS + Azure SQL ODBC driver - crash on numerics

Post by jayrobot » Mon 20 Aug 2018 20:06

Hi all,

We are using the devart Azure SQL ODBC driver to access data from SPSS. Any query that references a numeric field type is crashing and bringing SPSS to its' knees. Any known issues here or any way I can diagnose the issue? Thank you!

Take care,
Jay

Unfortunately, we can't reproduce the issue. To investigate this behavior of ODBC Driver for SQL Azure, provide us with the exact error message, driver version, and the script for creating the table on which the issue is reproduced.

Hello,

Thanks for your response. I created a test database and table to try to replicate the error and I was unable to as well. The test table may have been too simple or had too few rows. I will try to replicate again tomorrow.

In the meantime, we modified our table's schema and changed the numerics to ints and the crash is no longer happening. So something's going on, but the issue may lie with SPSS.

I will follow-up tomorrow.

Take care,
Jay

Have you got the issue with numeric field types resolved?
