Post by bagofbirds » Fri 22 Mar 2013 02:17

Hi folks,

Just downloaded the eval version. it seems i am unable to compare two schemas, only two dbs. is there no way to compare two schemas? or simply two tables within one schema?

thanks for your help.

You can select particular objects to compare on the 'Mapping' page of the New Data Comparison wizard.

I should have been clearer. I dont have permissions to all schemas. Only the one i want to use. I cannot get to the mapping page as i get an error: no permissions to schema x. Can i not use this tool unless i have permissions to all schema?

the exact error is 'permission denied for schema csat'. csat is a schema in the db that i don't have access to but that i don't need for this project. any help much appreciated.
