Hi All,

New to Corelab.
There are 3 possible Oracle connection types available, VCL, ADO and dbExpress.

Could somone explain concisely which is the best to use or rather why one would chose one over another.

Currently just looking at 'borrowing' data from Oracle 9i for extra reports and views over what the original developer has offered.
Maybe use more facilities later.

BTW now using D2007 Pro.

I advise using ODAC. ODAC is more stable and it provides much more features than ADO or dbExpress, including wide coverage of Oracle-specific features.

Pretty much what I thought but better to ask the experts. Don't have time to mess around trying all avenues.
