In the meantime I have converted the .hxs file to a .hlp file which did not solve the problem but helped me to read at least the helpfile.

Well, no one knows what the problem is with the not implemented help within the Delphi Studio IDE?

maybe it is possible to implement the help files manually to the ide - does one know how that is working?

Please specify what action you are performing when you get this error message.
Also specify the exact version of ODAC including build number (see Oracle | About ODAC in the Delphi menu).

:-) ok :-)

I am using ODAC 6.00.0.6 and what I am doing ist quit simple I push the F1 Button :-).

Okay, more seriously I set a component (lets say TOraSession) on a Form and in the Object Inspector I give a property (lets say ConnectDialog) the focus and then press the F1 Button. Somewhat later (maybe 8 seconds) I get a error message informing me that there is "No help found for TPersistent.ConnectDialog".

In the meantime my investigations :-) have brought up that the whole Delphi helpsystem is not working at all. No matter which property (even with TLabel) I try to get help for a similar error message comes up.

I think all that happend after I have installed ODAC 6.00.0.6

Please check if your Delphi help system works when you uninstall ODAC. Also specify whether Microsoft Visual Studio is installed on your computer. If it is true, please check if the help system works in Visual Studio.

Sorry for the delay. In the meantime I have deinstalled Delphi and reinstalled it again which results in Delphi help is working again. After installing ODAC Delphi help is still working so fare but ODAC help doesn't work, at least not completely. When I open Delphi (Borland) Helps and choose the tab "contents" there is the possibility to filter by the installed help files - even Core Lab Documentation is in the drop down but if I choose to filter by one of the help files (no matter which one) I get an empty area below the filter by drop down. If I choose (no filter) I get alle the help files and can open all the help files - even Core Lab Documentation. Within the delphi ide I can't look for help for Core Lab properties - all other components I get help for. It lasts very long (approx. 30 - 40 sec) to get help but at least there comes up some help. If you think it could be a memory problem - as I thought it could be the problem, the machine I am working on has 4 GB of memory, correct configured (system controlled) swap-memory with enough free disk space and a minimum of 1,5 GB free memory when working with the delphi ide.

Very strange :-)

I don't have installed Visual Studio

After ODAC is installed, there should be two additional books: 'Oracle Data Access Components' and 'Core Lab VCL Controls' in content tab in the Delphi help system. Please specify whether this books is present in your help system. Also select the Index tab and check if description of ODAC components present in the index (for example, type 'TOraSession').
If the ODAC help is not present in the content or index, please contact us by e-mail (odac*crlab*com). We'll send you the application, that will help to detect the problem.
