Windows Services possible?

Hi,
is it possible to use ODAC for programming Windows Services? We have an interface application that uses BDE and ORACLE 8-10g and want to convert it into a service, so that no user has to be logged on while it is working in the background (with DB access).
Would be great if someone already tried Oracle access from within a windows service with ODAC.
