ODAC Trial version needs additional bpl files to be present on the user PC

Post by DDlopez » Tue 25 Aug 2020 06:51

Hello,

I've downloaded ODAC 11.2 Trial Version for BDS 2006 and Turbos in order to test the connection to Oracle 19c.

After some trial and error, I've finally connected to 19c and it seems to work fine. All these tests have been on my development computer.

When I've tried the executable in a user computer it doesn't work, and the following error is thrown:

ODAC Trial version needs additional bpl files to be present on the user PC.
If you build your project without run-time packages you need:
dac100.bpl
odac100.bpl

I'd like to know if this is a limitation of the Trial Version, I'm doing something wrong or it's the intended behavior.

Thank you very much in advance.

This behavior results from the trial version limitations. See our documentation for more information: https://www.devart.com/odac/docs/deployment.htm
