connect to database in direct mode using OID

Hi!
Can I connect to Oracle database with ODAC in direct mode using Oracle LDAP implementation (Oracle Internet Directory)? I've found 2 topics concerning this theme, but there's no straight answer on this question.

ODAC does not support such functionality.

And how about failover support in direct mode?

Oracle Transparent Failover is not supported in the Direct mode. Please take a look at the LocalFailover functionality.
