Handling Oracle Errors (Lost Connection)

I am using Odac Net Components 5.80.0.39 with Delphi5
My Question is how to handle a Lost Connection from Oracle Server
without hagingup client application

We could not reproduce the problem. An application should raise an error when the connection is lost and you execute a query.
