Direct mode and Cisco VPN

Post by sbslavonac » Wed 17 Aug 2011 13:54

Hi,
Having problem with 7.20.0.8 version of ODAC.
Namely I cannot connect via DIRECT option trough Cisco VPN client 5.0.07.0440.
Connection works normally with MS VPN and Cisco AnyConnect VPN client.
Also when I connect via oracle client everything is OK.
Version 7.10.0.5 is working normally.
As I need direct connection could you please check what is changed ?
For now I switched back to 7.10....
Best regards
Boris

Hello,

Unfortunately we are unable to reproduce the problem because we dont have the corresponding hardware. If you could grant us the access to your Cisco, we will try to reproduce and solve this problem.

Hi,
Unfortunatelly I cannot grant access as I use Cisco client provided by my client (Airport Dubrovnik).
As I do not have version with source (licenced prof vers.) I cannot check my self anything. If I upgrade to Prof with source will I be able to check whats wrong?
Best regards
Boris

Hello,

Unfortunately, we cannot fix the problem without first reproducing it.
Buying a version with the source code will not help you discover the problem, since we do not distribute the source code of the direct mode.

Hello,

Try to use any sniffer to log packets that were sent from/to the server and send us a complete log of connecting ODAC in the direct mode through your Cisco VPN client 5.0.07.0440. If it does not help us to solve the problem, we will try to create an application to log connections in the direct mode.

Hi.,
I've logged the traffic with Wireshark and MS network monitor and sent the files to support.
