Disable notifications

Post by cetama » Tue 02 Dec 2014 06:13

Hi,

I know that there is the option to modify the email notifications. So is there a way to disable the visual studio notifications (pop up) for new comments on a code review?

Thanks,
Franz

Hello,

Review Assistant doesn't have such functionality. As a workaround, you can disable automatic refresh at the 'Review Assistant Options -> Connection' tab and don't forget to refresh it manually. In this case, you won't get notification pop-ups.

I see this thread is from quite a while ago. Has the functionality been implemented yet, or is the workaround still the same?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the workaround is still the same.

OK, thanks.

I thought the problem could be made much less annoying without having to remember to press the refresh button by changing the automatic refresh to every few hours. Unfortunately, there seems to be an upper limit on the edit box of 15 minutes - can this be changed?

I have increased the timeout in the local settings file (C:\Users\kevinma\AppData\Roaming\Devart\Review Assistant\settings.xml) to 360 minutes, and will see what happens.

I created task to rethink this 15 minutes limitation.
