dotConnect for SalesForce 2.2.67

Post by craigd » Sat 09 Feb 2013 00:07

I've just updated my playpen to the latest version, recreated the data model from scratch, deleted the metadata and data cache (in fact have not set up caching in the connection string at all, and the first entity that is access raised the exception below.

System.Data.Entity.Core.MetadataException was unhandled
HResult=-2146232007
Message=Schema specified is not valid. Errors:
DataModel.ssdl(2,2) : error 0152: The 'Instance' member of the Entity Framework provider type 'Devart.Data.Salesforce.Entity.SalesforceEntityProviderServices, Devart.Data.Salesforce.Entity, Version=2.2.67.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701' did not return an object that inherits from 'System.Data.Entity.Core.Common.DbProviderServices'. Entity Framework providers must extend from this class and the 'Instance' member must return the Singleton instance of the provider.

The System.Data.Entity.Core namespace says that you are using EF6.
craigd wrote:... Devart.Data.Salesforce.Entity, Version=2.2.67.0, ...
The version of Devart.Data.Salesforce.Entity.dll, which is compiled for EF6, is 2.2.67.6 (\Program Files (x86)\Devart\dotConnect\Salesforce\Entity\EF6\).

Additionally, please refer to http://blogs.devart.com/dotconnect/enti ... force.html to find a way how to register an Entity Framework provider.
