CodeCompare bug doesn't compare two folder on different locations

Post by softy007 » Thu 11 Jan 2018 07:48

Hi.

Unfortunately, several errors in the directory comparison are available.
One bug i've post in a other topic ( viewtopic.php?f=36&t=36419)

There is an additional error when comparing directories with different storage locations.

If a directory is stored on a fileserver and the other exists on a local harddisc,
missing files are signaled red, although they exist and are compete identical.
missing meens: a file is present on the left windows, the right window is empty, like a no existing file, although the file is there and equal.
(not only a time difference between the two storage locations!)
Please note, that some files are shown correct.

But the bug with not displayed differences is much worse!!!!!!!!

Please answer, if i can help to find the bug!!!!!

Hi

Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce this issue. Could you make screenshots where the problem will be shown and an example of the path to the folders being compared.

Best regards,

Hey, I have a similar problem but mine is that it seems to *think* I have two different files of the same file which, when hashed, are exactly the same - screenshots: Image and after updating both hashmyfiles and code compare just in case it might have been fixed: Image

Yeah, not sure why this is happening...

Thanks!
