I do not like the integration of code compare into visual studio.
It get's especially confusing when I have two different versions of VS studio open at the same time ( 2010 & 2008 in my case ) and a code compare in my 2010 project opens in 2008.
I want to remove code compare integration from VS 2010 and 2008 and have compare ALWAYS occur in the Code Compare stand alone compare utility and windows.
I looked in both the option of VS and CC and could not see how to do this?
How to unintegrate Code Compare from Visual Studio?
Re: How to unintegrate Code Compare from Visual Studio?
You need to re-install Code Compare and deselect the integration with Visual Studio 2008/2010 checkboxes during installation, so that you will have only the standalone version.
