Opening a single instance of Code Compare from Visual Studio

Post by Steve Ayers » Fri 26 Oct 2012 17:00

I just upgraded Code Compare to 2.80.10. Now, when I run a compare from Visual Studio 2008 on two different files I get two instances of Code Compare. Previously I both compares opened in the same instance of Code Compare in separate tabs.

Is this a change in Code Compare behavior, or am I missing a configuration setting?

Thanks!

I figured it out. If you use CodeCompareGui.exe, then each diff opens a new instance of Code Compare, but if you use CodeCompare.exe then each diff opens in a new tab in the same instance.
