I installed code compare today amd I left the defaults where I can use code compare for visual studio 2008, visual studio 2010, and windows explorer. I left these options since it fits my situation perfectly.
I have the following questions for using code compare

1. When I used windows explorer and right clicked on a file, I thought code compare would show up. However it did not. Thus can you tell me how to access code compare using windows explorer? My workstation is windows professional 7. Does that make a difference?
2. I use Visual Studio.net 2010 professional edition. I would like to know how to add code compare to my visual studio.net ide as an add in so i can use it? I did not find this type of directions on your website.
3.2. I use Visual Studio.net 2008 professional edition. I would like to know how to add code compare to my visual studio.net ide as an add in so i can use it? I did not find this type of directions on your website.

If Code Compare is not opened, but Visual Studio is opened, the comparison will be shown in it, see the "Rules for Choosing Environment on Comparison Opening" help topic. In one of the next versions we will add the possibility for user to set up rules for choosing environment. You can run standalone Code Compare manually as yet.

If you left the "Integrate into Visual Studio 2010" option checked, then the Code Compare toolbar and the menu Tools -> Code Compare will appear in Visual Studio. If you need integration with a version control system, see the help section "Version Control System Integration" for more information, and our site as well - http://www.devart.com/codecompare/integration/. The same applies to Visual Studio 2008.
