Why doesn't CTRL+ALT+] work for next conflict?

I like my keyboard shortcuts, but this one forces me to use the mouse, why doesn't the CodeCompare.NextConflict work?

I conjecture that you talk about Code Compare integrated in Visual Studio. Maybe some extension overrides this keyboard shortcut. You can check it in keyboard options (Tools -> Options -> Environment -> Keyboard -> Press shortcut keys).

I actually did exactly that, and there isn't another other one. Are you able to see this shortcut working on your machine?

Yes, this shortcut works on my computer. Please specify the keyboard layout you use. In some national layouts this shortcut can be used for typing special symbols. For example, in French layout AltGr+] is used for symbol '¤'.

keyboard layout

I'm using the standard C# layout. Not sure exactly what it is at the moment, but it's the standard one.

I mean Windows keyboard layout but not Visual Studio shortcut scheme. Is any symbol typed when you press Ctrl+Alt+] ? Can you assign this shortcut to any other command in Visual Studio?

keyboard layout

I'm using the standard windows US layout on an MS ergonimic 4000 keyboard. I tried another keyboard shortcut for that option and it doesn't work neither. It's almost as if it can't fire.

Maybe you confuse NextConflict with NextChange command? Is the "Next Conflict" button (it has an exclamation mark on its icon) active on the Code Compare toolbar?
