CodeCompare always starts in standalone mode
You are right, TortoiseSVN is running in a separate process, in this case a timeout message doesn't appear. So it seems like the /b parameter can be omitted without any side effect. We will investigate the integration with VisualSVN more carefuly and update our documentation and installation in the next version.
