Scroll Sychronization in Visual Studio 2010

Post by gcm » Fri 13 Jan 2012 16:35

i have code compare setup as my default compare tool in visual studio 2010. even though i have the scroll synchornization box checked, the scrolling will not sync between my two files.

it does work in standalone

any ideas?

code compare 2.70.3
win 7 64bit enterprise
visual studio 2010 (running as admin)

To turn on the scrollbar synchronization in Visual Studio 2010, you should turn word wrap off. This will be done automatically in compare documents in the next Code Compare build.

thanks, artem!

that worked, but what a bummer! i love word wrap.

does this have to be done globally? or is there way to have it only off for comparing?

In the latest build word wrap is turned off automatically in Code Compare documents, but when you switch to other document, word wrap is restored.
