Several years ago I posted a topic about SQL Data Compare not being able to read natively compressed backups. It could read uncompressed native backups, but not compressed ones. I never heard anything after being told it was being looked into.
Does anyone know if this issue was ever fixed? This is a crucial requirement for me and I'm trying to decide if it's worth the cost to upgrade to the current version.
