Slow SQL Complete 6.0.69

Updated to SQL Complete 6.0.69 in VS 2017 15.9.2.
Now when opening a .sql file in a sqlproj, the file is very slow to open.
So slow, in fact, Visual Studio shows a warning:
Extension 'SQL Complete Package 6.0.69' likely caused 13 seconds of unresponsiveness. Disabling it may improve your experience.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Fixes other than disabling the extension?
