Contrast problems when using Dark skins

Post by MEngelbyDev » Tue 28 Mar 2017 18:19

Using the dark skins: Metropolis Dark and VS2013 Dark and viewing the Plan Diagram any operator cost sufficiently high has a brown background with black text. In the Master Detail browser data view, when viewing a tooltip to read the all the data, that color scheme is a light grey background with white text. Both of these suffer from not having enough contrast to be easily readable.

I humbly suggest that the readable screen elements follow the accessibility guidelines and have a contrast ratio of 4.5:1 or greater. This web page goes into great detail into this topic - https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20-TECHS/G18.html.

We will take this into account when developing the next product versions.
