Licensed installer broken?

Post by toadicusrex » Sat 04 Apr 2015 12:09

Every time I attempt to install dbForge Data Compare (standard) it informs me that it can't find the executable file in the path specified (the target directory) but if I place a file there and click retry, it will delete it and the give me the same options (Abort, Retry, Ignore) again. The trial version installs correctly, but my version is expired now so it just crashes (I can't enter a license key or anything). Has anyone else seen this? Or am I missing something?

In the meantime, if there's a way to extend the trial even for a little bit, I'd be incredibly grateful - our release is currently dependent on this software. I work for a small religious private non-profit school, and the present release is holding up our fundraising dinner registration... the teachers and staff are really anxious as their salaries are dependent on this.

I installed Version 3.8.265 (25-Jun-2014) successfully - in fact, it appears that anything before the current version and the last version works just fine.

Could you please provide us a screenshot of any possible error message?

Also, we recommend you to check that there is no an antivirus or firewall causing the issue (for example Kaspersky).
