Setting Width of Code Completion Box

Post by aoeusnth » Fri 09 May 2014 15:58

I can't remember whether this used to be a problem and then cropped up in later versions of SQL Complete (I'm running 4.6.192.1 now on SSMS 2012), but it's finally irked me enough to post about it!

When I call up SQL Complete's code completion the width of the suggestions box is way too narrow. It maybe hold 9 characters at most before using ellipses. It's only when I call code completion up again that the box expands a little more, though never entirely to the width of the longest object name.

This only ever happens on the creation of a new SSMS tab. Thereafter, the width of the box is wider but still not usually wide enough.

Is there a way to either to SQL Complete to get the box size right or simply to hard-code the width?

We are aware of this issue and will fix it in the next product version. We will notify you once it's available for downloading.
