Can't uninstall/patch dbforge sql

I tried to automatically apply a patch to the latest version of dbforge (ver 3) for sql server pro and it crashes. Same when trying to uninstall. It won't run either. In all cases I get:

The procedure entry point RegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll

I'm on XPSP3. Won't install either with same message.

Any advice?
