Hello,
I have an issue where SQL Complete is duplicating it's context menu entries. I have uninstalled SQL Complete and also repaired the SQL Server 2008 installation but the menu entries still persist.

I am using Windows XP and SQL Server 2008

Does anyone know how I can remove the Context menu entries?

Cheers,

Bob

Please follow the procedure below:

1. Close Management Studio.

2. Uninstall dbForge SQL Complete with all options being selected on the 'Uninstall options' page of the Uninstall wizard.

3. Please NOTE that after the changes described in this step, Management Studio toolbar customizations will be reset to defaults.

Remove the following file:

%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\'User_name'\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Shell\1033\CmdUI.PRF

where 'User_name' is the Windows user under which you are logged in.

4. Remove the installation folder of dbForge SQL Complete that is usually as follows:

%programfiles%\Devart\dbForge SQL Complete

5. Remove the folders below:

%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\'User_name'\Application Data\Devart\dbForge SQL Complete
%SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Devart\dbForge SQL Complete

where 'User_name' is the Windows user under which you are logged in.

6. Install dbForge SQL Complete once again.

I'm seeing the same thing in SSMS 2012 on Win 7.

Anyway the next update can fix this?

Remove the following files if they exist:

%SystemDrive%\Users\'User_name'\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SQL Server Management Studio\11.0\1033\CmdUI.PRF

where 'User_name' is the Windows user under which you are logged in.

4. Remove the installation folder of dbForge SQL Complete that is usually as follows:

%programfiles%\Devart\dbForge SQL Complete

5. Remove the folders below if they exist:

%programdata%\devart\dbForge SQL Complete
%SystemDrive%\Users\'User_name'\AppData\Roaming\Devart\dbForge SQL Complete
