Issue with creating snapshot using the command line utility

Post by antonis » Mon 22 Jul 2013 13:44

Hi,

We are trying to create a snapshot of a database using the command line utility.

From a powershell we are going to the C:\Program Files\Devart\dbForge Studio for SQL Server\ directory and type the below command

.\dbForgesql /snapshot /connection:"Server=[SERVER]; Database=[DATABASE]; User Id=[USER]" /password:[PASS]

We get an "Invalid Command Line. The switch '/connection' has not been set or has been set incorrectly" response.

The server we are targeting is SQL Server 2012. The version of dbForge Studio is 3.0.185

Can you help us with that?

Thank you in advance,
Antonis.
